Lotus
I used Photoshop to make this picture. I concentrate on negative space and repetition to create the rhythm. I arranged 3 photos of Hoang Khai Nhan in the website :http://www.saigonline.com/hkn/queviet/main/index.html to create this image.In vietnamese's perception, lotus is the symbol of heroic. There is vietnamese folk song about lotus :
" Trong đầm gì đẹp bằng sen
Lá xanh bông trắng lại chen nhị vàng
Nhị vàng bông trắng lá xanh
Gần bùn mà chẳng hôi tanh mùi bùn"
In this picture, I put some effects to make it more attractive. The image of lotus bloom on left hand side, the color is almost black and white. However, there are some color on the lotus petals. I think this will increase the viewer 's awareness of lotus's beautiful colour. The second image - the green one I concentrate on the texture of lotus. In this image, we can easily see the lines and its texture in the greener part of the image. I like the little blue one in the bottom of the picture most. I make it like we see lotus through the blue water. The viewing angle is not as usual. The lotus looks like it is reaching to the sky.
