Terry Fox Run - The Marathon of Hope

I tried to create posters to propagandize Terry Fox Run – The Marathon of Hope this December 3 rd . This is the Marathon for Cancer Research initiated by Terry Fox, a Canadian who is also suffered by cancer .
This is my first poster. I concentrate on the movement of Terry Fox. I used Photoshop to make Terry looks like he is running . I choose simple font and color to emphasize Terry's spirit.
The second one I create it with a little stylish. The black curves is the 'S' shape - the shape of Vietnam in the world map. Do you see the text? It is the combination of two texts : " Terry Fox Run" and " Run for cancer Research" . I used Illustrator to create this text.

Let me introduce you about the Marathon of Hope story

What do you think about the man who run 42 kilometers per day with his one leg across Canada to raise money for cancer research. Maybe you’ll think that it is unbelievable, however, this is a true story. This is a true story about Terry Fox, a Canadian who run more than 5,373 kilometers for 143 days.

Terry Fox was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with bone cancer and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimeters (six inches) above the knee in 1977.
While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope. After running 143 days and 5,373 kilometers (3,339 miles), he was forced to end his running because of his lung cancer. Cancer had appeared again in his lungs. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at age 22.The heroic Canadian was gone, but his legacy was just beginning.Terry Fox not only changed people's attitude towards the disabled but also showed that while cancer had claimed his leg, his spirit was unbreakable

He is considered one of Canada's greatest heroes of the 20th Century and is celebrated internationally every September as people participate in the 'Terry Fox Run', the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research
The first Terry Fox Run in 1981 attracted 300,000 participants across Canada and raised $3.5 million. To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name. Impressive!
He is considered one of Canada's greatest heroes of the 20th Century and is celebrated internationally every September as people participate in the 'Terry Fox Run', the world's largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research

Terry Fox Run - A single dream. A world of hope.
